What a beauty! Lisi joined us in the afternoon on the second day of our trip, after all day riding park we decided to climb up and do one of the freeride trails in the evening, you know, like normal people do. I knew I'm gonna hate the climb, we had a similar program the day before - park during the day, enduro in the evening. I could still feel my legs, those DH tires on that Freeride bike aren't exactly enthusiastic to go up. Anyway, I decided to be smart this time and not bring 4kg camera gear extra, but then last moment I though - "perhaps just the body and one lens, you never know." The climb up wasn't exciting, 1000 meters vertical grind along a steep forest road. Wouldn't even be that bad if we didn't charge downhill all day. Diaf and Lisi were already a turn or two ahead, I wasn't enjoying the extra grip that much now. At least I had my alter ego entertain me - "Damn, 1x12 gears make a lot of sense now". We were on the shady side of the mountain and the sky looked cloudy and dull - "People take phone snaps and are perfectly happy, why do I lug that thing around!? At least I didn't bring the tripod this time." , "And who needs 2 liters of water anyway!?" :D We were greeted with this gorgeous view as soon as we arrived at the ridge - "Ah, yes, that's why I bring the camera". Suddenly my butt didn't hurt so much...
