The e13 TRSr was my favorite front tire until they started selling the updated version manufactured by Vee Rubber. New version has noticeably more square profile than the original version (both mounted on DT FR570s in the picture), and I hate square-profile tires as they seem to wash out abruptly when the bike is leaned over. Seem to wear about twice as fast than the original version as well.

 The new version uses a softer compound. So yes, it’s going to be less durable.
It’s a high performance tire. Grip is the main objective.
