Pucker moment for sure! That's why its much better to ride in numbers when you have predators like that around your trails. Back in 2007/8 we had a cougar stalking us the whole way down the Gargamel trail at the outskirts of Whistler, later in the day it was shot and killed on a golf course near Cougar mountain, no pun intended! They said all the logging in the area was forcing them down the mountain for food so they were getting bolder than normal.

Fook moment for sure!! Mostly squirrels and the odd deer round my way but I did come across a herd of cows in the fog once! Massive horns and soulless eyes...........

Been there. Quite an experience. I decided to hike out "uphill" out of the trail so that she could have it on her own.

since this one disappeared down the slope towards my exit, I decided to go in deeper and take a different trail out... crazy what goes through your mind on options... ok... I could do this, or that or... ugh...
