That why I moved up to these parts about 15 years ago and never left, I'm blessed to have discovered it. Great area to explore, its along the Hudson river between Cold Spring and Philipstown and the Appalachian trail runs through this area. Lots of history from the late 1600's, was an area where Dutch traders settled and later played a role in the american revolution and civil war. It's not far from where I live and because a lot of the area has been protected it remains fairly untouched, very cool.
