Specialized Fuse 27.5+. But today thinking of old school xc, that's if you are old like the Seadevil lol. So....off with the 27.5s with 3in Ground Control tyres, and on with fresh 29ers. New Syncros XR 2.0 wheelset with Maxxis Aspen 2.25 tyres, flat Loaded AMX downhill gold bars cut to 760, 33mm lock on ESi copys (can't tell much difference) BBB bar ends with 90psi in 100mm forks. Pretty light also as I took the dropper off replaced with a Thomson, 45mm stem pretty quick and a Specialized Henge saddle ain't that bad. Nukeproof pedals big flat square and grippy, but a touch of sideplay, may go back to DMR v8's. So far, feels much lighter and flighty than standard setup with dropper. May go tubeless tomorrow with Kev the guru and main henchman at his mancave. Fully heli taped in places you can't see...I wonder what a 2.0 up front and 1.9 on the rear would feel like? Now my head spinning out back into the 80s I feel lol. This is probably the lightest setup I'd go bike wise before a fixie again (don't tell Kev though) based on my body weight. Hope these wheels can hold me. Will let you know soon enough.
