Open bath with coil is the best suspension ever made. It's the industry's obsession with weight and silly mid stroke platform that prevents manufacturers from making modern forks with this superior damping circuit.
Ohhhh it was a treat for me to get to play with this fork. I thought it was dual air, the right side is the damper (open oil bath, the black leg is the damper body) and you can adjust the bottom out air chamber. Then the left side is a coil spring saturated in oil with a separate chamber to set the preload with air, very brilliant idea keeping the 2 chambers separated as that helps contain the oil around the springs from air and other contaminants. I don't know when it was last opened but look at how clear the oil is. Marzocchi had a similar design but the chambers were opened together and the oil would be black in 6 months. All in all good fun! Its now off to Germany!
Sorry buddy, Im mailing them to Germany!
But Japan has lots of lots of old parts just sitting in shops!
They need to get them out for the public to buy!
