@cbro7092: WOW air is cheap. At least it was for me. I think that is in the south and within an hour or two from airport.

WOW air is only from the USA to Iceland. Uk to Iceland you need to use Icelandair or easyjet. Bike and one bag Edinburgh to Keflavik (Reykjavik) about £80.

Cheap airfare, crazy expensive once you're there. Still worth it IMO, but despite all the warnings about price it's still shocking.

@ldhbaker: I agree with you on that. Reykjavik COSTCO and IKEA plus some gas station sandwiches are reasonable for some food. Go to a nice place to eat and you will really pay for it.
