Iv'e been thinking of making a different press with a similar design to this, but I don't want to have to use a thrust bearing. Do you find that yours works well without having the bearing? Do the bearing drifts ever end up turning? Awesome looking and quality tools by the way!

I've tested both the 3/8" Press and the 1/2" Press with a thrust bearing and without a thrust bearing. The press fits on a bicycle frame and components are not a heavy press fit so a thrust bearing is really not needed. The ACME thread form really doesn't create any rotation of the adapters. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen that totally depends on the user input. I have never experienced that during my testing. I wanted to create a simple and cost affective set of press tools. I will be making some BB Press Adapters for the 1/2" Press shortly. I will also be doing bearing removal collets for my 3/8" Press some time this year.....they're designed but still need to prototype/test them.
