 36, so 10°. Same as DT's intermediate option. www.extralite.com/Products/HyperBoost%20R.htm

Aluminum on aluminum for all contact and wear surfaces ... and the hub shell is a wear surface. That makes me nervous. DT and Newmen hubs are cheaper, likely more durable, and not too much heavier. Extralite are lighter, though, and a lot prettier!

 Ah I see, should have look at the specs first. Thats a bigger drop than I had imagined (currently on Profile Elite SS, so 1.8 degrees). I'm trying to build up a light 4xer and therefore I'm willing to accept less durability and or shorter service intervals. The profiles are boat anchors but as its a hub rather than a rim I'd presume the weight will have slightly less effect when riding. Will probably leave the rear for now as the engagement is great and use an extralite on the front for the gram saving.
Thanks for the response, appreciate your input on the forums too

 @jibb: Thanks, happy to help.

The Extralites absolutely live up to their name. My 29er wheels, with 36 mm (internal) rims, weigh only a little over 1300 g. That's half a pound lighter than my *road* wheels. Compared to my perfectly decent Race Face Aeffect R wheelset, I've dropped 1.5 lbs.

 What’s the engagement like on these? I’m considering buying extralite hubs
