You will be notified via your PB user account and given a couple rounds of outreach. If you don't respond within the time allotted we re-pick. We announce the winners publicly in an article after they have confirmed,

This is the most confusing contest ever. I received a push notification from Trailforks app that I earned a t-shirt...cant find anywhere to claim that. Cant find me on the leader board either, and I have over a 100 miles tracked.

Hmmm that's a strong notification. Are you sure it wasn't a "you earned a badge"? If that's the case, the badge is just an entry into the contest.

@sarahlukas: It said that I had hit 100 miles and earned a t-shirt. I said to login to claim my prize. I cant find anything about my prize

Also - I checked with our development team about why you aren't showing up on the leaderboard - since you do not have all the badges (every day), you won't be on the leaderboard, missing a bunch of days. But can still win daily prizes
