@seraph I don't like riding with a slammed seat. For really steep tech I'll remove it.
For me I need to be able to "find" my seat between my knees for descending. 125mm is all I need, the post on this frame is 150mm.
On long enduro race stages like Top of The World in Whistler I have lowered the post in a frame (not this particular frame) so that it's max height is about 1.5 inches below my usual max climbing height. This way at "top" position I can still get a wee bit of sit down climb (when I should really be standing and hammering) or drop into something with it up and it's not high post sketchy.
@shirk-007: So I take it you don't often bunny hop or jump? With my post up at all it smashes the saddle into my ass when I jump. I run a 170mm Reverb AXS on my Tallboy and I wish they made a 200mm.
