whereabouts along southsea seafront is that? only, the isle of wight's missing. Out towards eastny somewhere? Even before I read the description I was all like, wheeyyy, I recognise those bins. Suprised there aren't any pictures of the pyramids in your album though, there's some good stuff to hit all around it. anyways. Awesome photo, somebody said the colour version's better, but I'm loving the B&W on this.
It was taken about half way between The Pyramids and The Pier. The IoW was literally just out of shot on the right! I've got a few pics of riding on the Pyramids... I should probably upload some.
amd just so every1 doesnt make a stupid coment like did he land it or roll out it looks like hes on a trials bike so he probly landed it and thats an amazing pic
stop being so damn skeptical...like its a picture of a good rider pullin a dope trick...stop criticizing and post soem of ur own pics to insult...jesus grow up..sick pic man..keep it up
where is his shadow? and what is going on with the sand and beach? the water just stops in a perfect line and the sand is all weird, still sweet but looks odd in places..
1) Shadow - The sun is really low, look how long the shadow of the bin is, as the rider is on top of the bin, the riders shadow would near the top of the bin shadow which is out of shot. 2) Water Line - The water is in fact lower than the path and beach by around 3 feet, every time the moon passes over the water rises and if was the same level it would flood the path and you would get wet feet. 3) Weird Sand - Its not sand its stones and pebbles.
its a great idea, the composition is nice, but sorry, i don't want to upset anyone but I'm more than certain that there is a bit of photoshop going on here, for instance the bike has been photoshopped onto the bin, the focus is inconsistent throughout the picture from foreground to background. also where is the cyclists shadow... or is it out the picture?
This photo is not Photoshopped at all, as all who were there will testify. It's clear to see that the sun is really low, as the shadow for the bin alone stretches waaaay out of shot, the riders shadows is therefore even further out of shot. Simples.
an epic photo, niceeee Ps: all those who can only criticize photo's ,like for me are KEYBOARD BIREKS. Every day, all day long, they ride their keyboards........
@ Dooo: I used to live on the south coast of England and a lot of the beaches look just like that, if you don't know what you are talking about it's best not to talk
I believe it's a great picture of a biker's life. Nice job.
However I think if you can turn the rider 45 or 90 degrees it could be more impressive mainly at 45 degrees if we can see the shadow of the bike and the rider.
Congratulation!
This photo is not photoshopped. The blockiness is a result of JPEG compression artefacts, which is something you will notice on a LOT of photos on Pinkbike as it compresses images after upload. This is also the reason for lots of squares on the pebbles that form the beach.
I think I have 4, I've had 3 in the last 3 weeks... I keep finding out from friends, otherwise I wouldn't have known about this one. I'd like to thanks the admin of Pinkbike once again for featuring my photos!
not tryin to be an ass here.. i mean hands down.. its a great photo.. composition is great.. focus is right on and the whole effect the photo has is magical..
thats an amazing picture beautiful! in response to johaines its not really that high i can get bar height on my jackal and hees on a trials bike its jsut a killer picture
i have honeslty never felt so amazed looking at a picture as iv efelt looking at this, it is seriosuly the greatest looking picture ive ever seen. not to mention i heart trials.
Looks PS'd to me, the litter box clearly has a shadow but the rider doesn't. As well his right hand and the bottom of the rear tire look a touch blockly if you ask me.
Oh well, still a cool shot though

As for the shadow... Look, you can't even see the top of the bin in the shadow, as the sun is really low and just about to set. If you can't see the top of the bin in the shadow then the rider should also not be visible. His shadow is out of shot.
actually i do think its photoshopped. not to make the riding look better but take a close look at these two things: the pebbles and also the water's edge. i noticed those things right away. its still a super sick pic.
