This is what happens when you combine a long-legged tall cyclist, short seat tube and relaxed seat tube angle. This gets worse as seat tube lengths continue to shrink. In my mind, the red lines represent a superior design for tall cyclists. We don't end up with a massive lever (longer dropper posts are not the answer) nor have to ride a sketchy wheelie as the trail's incline gets steeper.
