I ended up on Labour of Love this summer using the Trailforks app to find a short ride I could do while waiting for a buddy to do his laundry (a month of van life has a way of eventually creating work for yourself). Anywho, I came across this rock roll to step down feature and was immediately enamored with the beauty of the forest combined with such an awesome move, not to mention the clear line of sight opportunity for a long lens. It was just out of reach for me to hit it for the first time solo, so I left with it on my mind for months. We left rainy Bellingham at 6am for Squamish, and had nice overcast morning light to work with. Stoked on the result, we ditched the gear and proceeded to shred the gnar at Alice Lake. I’ve been riding with Kelend for almost 20 years, and every time I bring the camera we create the best memories.
