Something looks off to me here.

 Looks fine to me?

@whattheheel: turns out my bike is a lot more comfortable with 0mm cranks and a BB that's 165mm lower than usual.

 Strider all the streets!!

I hated my 165's. They have no leverage for pedaling.

Gotta say man, this experiment with MTB cranks is really not going well for me. I ran the same Vendettas for like seven years and cracked one single Ti spindle. I swapped to MTB cranks in October, and I've broken three sets over fall/winter.

@crs-one: I don't think mountain bike cranks are designed for your style your just so god damn hard on shit tbh. Those cranks mite work well for slopestyle/ big jumps ect but the landing to flat deal is just so hard on the cranks. Something that was made to handle that impact riged and just take the brunt impact just seems more up your ally to me. I get the hole mtb purist accept tho and one day they will fix that problem but for like half the price you got something that will take a legit beating time and time again and give you less headaches and no real gamble.

@brenteaton: it's not so much about being a purist. Mtb cranks are a lot narrower, both the q-factor and the spindle boss area - both big advantages to me. That being said, I think it has to be downhill cranks only at this point (or back to bmx style cranks). If Shimano had a Saint that took direct mount rings I'd be all over it.

@crs-one: have you considered running 165 bmx cranks? I feel like they kind of tighten things up a little.

@recklessness: if you like to go fast they suck. Mechanical disadvantage. But for jibbing on my bmx It just makes everything tighter basically easier to keep it tucked up in a ball I guess you could say.

@brenteaton: these are 165. I don't really notice it helping or holding me back, but the difference in q-factor between bmx and mtb cranks is definitely something I noticed, which makes it harder for me to go back to bmx cranks.
