God that low standover leaves so much room for activities.. I am so close to having a buddy at the kona dealer buy me a Honzo frame and then just strip it and leave it raw.. I am so envious of the low top tube, my NS gets funky when you start trying to manhandle it around on jumps.
The more and more I look at it, the more I realize I accidentally build a giant ass DJ bike. A lot of me is considering getting a 1 degree angleset for it just to get it a bit longer.
Ps, the Kona frame is cheap and solid. Like $700 CAD retail or something frame only. Would not be a dire part swap! It's so fricken low!
@sherbet: that's what I want.. Our local place I ride has flow trails all the way up to full on 10ft wood slopestyle jumps sitting at the trailhead..
So when you are done with your trail ride, you always end up on the jumps.. The NS is great on the trail, but try to drape your leg over the top tube or really crank over a table and it feels really tall and weird.
I'll probably have to wait until the day I leave my shop before I could live down buying a Kona from our competitors down the road.. Haha
I9 hubs, not CK. Been running NX for a few seasons now and it's never let me down. I got it to prove a point back in the day when everyone said it's a shit drivetrain, and honestly, could not have been more happy to be right!
