I am not talking to you after you sold that DJ.. Haha I had it on the scale last fall.. Don't remember what it ended up being, but it was pretty reasonable.

How do you find this at $650!?!! B

It was absolutely blown up. And just low balled an offer after it had been sitting for a while. The frame is the only thing that we used.

And I am closer to 1200 into it with the 27.5 i9 wheels and the 27.5 boxxer.

I bought a base level boxxer just for the lowers and moved a world cup Damper from one of my 26" forks.

Then Shimano buddy kicked down some cranks, shifter, derailur and 4 pot calipers.

@swan3609: Not too shabby! I miss working at a shop of only for the connections, access to parts, and the spares bins!!

@swan3609: how much you think you put in total?

@badbadleroybrown: probably around 1500 total out of pocket. $650 frame and shock, 400 for a 27.5 boxxer and 400 for the i9 wheels.. Everything else came out of the parts bins or buddies kicked blem parts my way.

@swan3609: that's killer, so much bike for a modest investment

@badbadleroybrown: definitely a pretty solid bike for the coin. Still curious about a true New school DH sled. Kavoriks M29 was still huge compared to this.

@swan3609: Bikes in general have gotten so much bigger... longer wheelbases and bigger wheels, it's kind of crazy. I think you're pretty well dialed in with the midsized wheels there. Might gain a little bit going with the new new, but man that thing is crazy for sub $2k invested.

@badbadleroybrown: yeah, this M9 is the same length as my XL Levo.. And I am guessing that my SJ Evo is going to be longer than both of them.

Rode 15k of descent today. M9 is good, but it definitely feels small both in wheelsize and overall reach. At 6'3, I definitely feel like I am riding over the M9 and not "in" the bike like I feel like on my Levo or what I'd imagine a modern big DH bike.

But like you said, I can't complain for the coin invested.
