I am 170cm with a 175 wingspan and decided to go for Small for this bike (440mm Reach, 1223mm WB).

Even though this is a Small, it is basically the same size as 2018 Scott Gambler and 2018 Devinci Wilson. I am use to riding DH bikes with about a 415-420mm Reach. 440mm Reach use to be large DH bikes (2018 and prior), and though I can manage a traditional large DH bikes, I prefer traditional mediums for the Bike Parks, as it is easier to jump and move the bike around. This bike in Small is even bigger than Traditional Mediums.

It took me 3 full runs to get used to the longer reach and wheelbase of this bike, but as the day went on I got more and more use to it and now I am loving the bike. I think I can even go Medium for the Furious with NO issues at all, it will just feel less nimble and be a little harder to jump and get through the tight sections. the 2020 and 2021 Medium for the Furious is 465mm Reach and 1249mm WB. If speed was what I was after and NOT playfulness, I would definitely go Medium. I chose Small because I was after a "Park Bike" and more playfulness, but even in Small, this bike was not as nimble as expected. I probably could even get away with an XS (for Park Duties) if Commencal made one in Small.

Overall, I LOVE THIS BIKE! I can't see myself upgrading for at least 3 years, might even do some DH Racing on this rig soon if I can manage to stay healthy and get fit.

Forgot to mention how great this thing pedals! If I put Easier Gearing on her, I could even use it as a "Trail" bike. It would be be a heavy Trail bike at 37.3 lbs, but she would still be quite manageable. Seat tube is a little too short to even run a 100mm dropper for me, but with a QR seatpost clamp I can get the seat tube to an ideal height to pedal uphill.
