Some how dispite running the event being the Comentator and proberbly wearign 6 other hats Si Paton managed to get in a lap of the 3 stages and even get on to the podium with a second in the 50+ men's race on a downhill bike. with a venue like LLangollen riding a downhill bike was a viable option the climb is brutal up to the stage starts with many riders haveing to push at least one of there climbs to the top there really wasnt much penalty to rideing a DH bike
