this picture makes it look small. i was up there the other week, and sum of the stuff on this slopestyle course is mental. props to you dude, i chickened out
i agree wih iride89 ... this drop has been in quite a few photo's around pinkbike... a few of them with the rider riding a gambler! bit old for pod! still a gnarly drop though!
why do people say this is a poor pic....i mean the stunt this guy is doing is something u don't see everyday and something that most of the people can't do.....so stop shitting about the photo and say it's good, cause it is indeed. And if some1 has a pic that maches this one or is better than this one than put it on.....in choosing a POD riding is more important than the photo quality...everyone can do a little of photoshop, but than u can put your pics on a different site
How is that shot lit...? sorry guys the photog in me is ever so curious... could it be another HDR... backlit sky and the fact that the rider isnt silouetted (how ever its spelt.. sory lisdexic) Just seems wierd to me.
That being said, doesnt take anything away from how gnarly and sick the photo is and how nuts the rider is. BIG UP bru!
i stayed in les gets for 2 weeks this summer and went over to chatel a few times, this slopestyle course is mental, this photo does no justice to the size of that drop! but still props to the rider and photographer thats ballsy!!
"where'd the road go?!" "if I can't see the landing of whats ahead of me it means it doesn't exist!" couple of things that would be going through my head in that situation. mad pic!
Yah Mike, Thats HUGE! You all should check out Mike's website, www.mike-hopkins.com Some pretty awesome shots there. Not only does he rip it up but he's a solid dude. Props bro!
It is more of a big mountain event than a slopestyle event and the proof is guys on big bikes getting on the podium. Tricks are only 1 of 4 judged categories. A hard tail would not be possible to even get down the course, by the way.
that is some of the worst style ever, hes not whipping just looking at the camera, anyone thats getting paid to ride should atleast be able to take his (her) feet off the pedals
