Interesting, I've not heard of Avid's "Code 7" before? I assume its a new model recently released, whatever the case how does it work compared to other brakes you have run before?

The Code 7s are specifically designed for the Demo 7 II for Specialized. It's basically a Code caliper with a Juicy 7 lever, so you get all the performance of a Code with less weight. The Juicy lever isn't as durable as the Code lever though.

Thanks again for the reply SpikeX (I just apologized for leaving so many comments on your profile), just love you bike though! In regards to the lever not being as durable as the stock Code, well unless your racing DH I'm sure the lever your running is just fine!

It's no prob

It's just there's quite a bit of play in the blade bearings now after a season of hard riding. No braking performance lost though.
