 Yeah, cut it off with an angle grinder.

The RF X-Type bb lasted less than a year so wanted to replace it. Crank removal tool twisted and destroyed the crank arm thread. Tried everything to remove it but it was totally seized on. Even once I cut through the arm I still had to hit it with a mallet to get it off the spindle!

All original stock parts so still not sure why it was like this. Did replace a bb for a Buddy with the exact same Ride crankset and that was fine so put it down to a rare one off. Smile

 I have a similar RaceFace crank to this, not yet fitted, whats the story behind this,
looks like you cut it up to remove ?
