actually, it is one of the more complex joints in the body, and it can be replaced, I know becuse the lower half of mine is titanium...I have a friend who's entire right elbow was replaced with a plastic joint in 1979...he was hit by a car as a child, completely disintegrated his elbow...thank God for modern medicine and good surgeon's...

I crushed it badly. I believe there's a photo of my arm somewhere. I broke it two more times after the reconstruction. One, long surgery to install a plate- 9 bolts. My ochranon was blasted, lost allot of cartlidge. its a fucking mess. But I can race still......thankfully.
