It seems to be the replica track in Chula Vista (California) which was built/designed as the Olympics track by Tom Ritzenthaler (the UCI Track Builder). Size is not exceptional for BMX Supercross.
Before thinking about the corner jump, you first have to clear perfectly the jumps before. Following movie on Youtube gives an indication of the entire 2nd straight: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pVwRyDcXC4
(the guy with the white helmet did a toboggan on that double during his 2nd qualification run at the Olympics!)
That's such a sick gap, I can't believe that they had something so sweet in the Olympics. 35' of awesomeness. I'd never be able to hit that on my DH bike let alone a fully rigid 20" wheeled BMX.
Jump is huge and nice. But I just smile when think about that the americans had a chance to train in exact same track as was in Beijing and still, none of them did take first place.
is that the bejing track ?? the layout the berm under neith the jump is suposadly the womans track but they can use the jump i dont think any of them did but
i wanna go to the Olympic training course. i live a couple hours from it. i wanna hit that big set soo bad. But not just anyone is aloud to ride it which sux.
I guess i have 2 write BOLDED in this one but that pretty sweet but kinda big for a bmx b/c if u short it ur screwed and the lasnding ouch thats gonna hurt ur werist!!!! but amazing pic probs 20
it's not a train, the photographer holds the button down on his camera, taking multiple pictures in a short period of time, then he just overlapped them
bmx is the foundation of racing and led into dirt jumping, i dont think you downhillers and mtb riders understand that mountainbikes was pretty much brought out to go down hills and dirt tracks with bumps in, then followed bmx, and still is following bmx now!
you need to open your eyes and go on youtube or something and look at bmx dirt jumping and racing.
TaylorBrett15. Dj, 4X and slopestyle 'follow' bmx riding in that there are only certain combos of tricks that are possible (and I sometimes wonder why they don't just ride bmxs) BUT there are many things that you just couldn't do on a bmx that you can on a mountain bike. Do you really think Sam Hill just copies bmxers? You are a prime example of the kind of narrow minded twat who can't accept that the things they do arn't the best for everything and that other people are having fun. BMXing is not the 'leader' in mountain biking in general as all the disaplines are almost different sports. Your opinion is grown from ignorance and stupidity. f*ck off
(hate to piss on your parade but actually, the conventional 26" wheeled bike came first anyway dickface)
I wasn't hating if that is aimed at me btw, I was just pointing out that there are many disaplines in biking and that no one of them is 'better' than any other. Just clearing that up
whats the point in arguing yeah minus me all you like but i have done both in my time and just stuck with bmxing cuz theres shit all to do down here, but that doesnt mean that i think moutain biking is bad, anything with two wheels, some cranks and someone sending it, it works for me
