Because I'm new to the sport and haven't been following competitive downhill racing for very long. Basically I just liked the bike he was riding and didn't know what it was, thought I was pretty clear?
There is no bearing issue...the only issue is that alot of shops have no idea how to work on VPP bikes and dont take the time to prep the bike before they sell it to you. I got a VP-Free from cyclepath kelowna and rode 22 days at silverstar, 8 days at sun peaks and 8 days at whistler and then sold the bike to a guy that raced the BC circuit on it for 2 years and the bearing still havent been replaced (and yes the vp-free and the v-10 use the same bearings).
I just finished watching Seasons and had been wondering what bike Steve Peat was riding, well I think I now know! Beautiful bike for sure! Plus you guys are right about those dropouts, so clean and simple!
