If u look closely u can see that huuuuge bar bending!!!This picture is craazy, captured perfectly. And this is what shloud happen to a DH bike if someone is useing it!!!!POD
how did he bottom out on a small jump like that! i have seen (u probly have to) a double road gap here on pinkbike and he doesn't bottom out-so how does this guy manage to off a small jump like that
fantastic timing and perfect clarity - check out the weird body position though - no wonder he bottomed on a small drop. Normally when you flat-land a jump you drop your ass down behind the seat to absorb some of the impact.
sourcenorco17, gtfo. dont pretend like you enjoy getting negative props. we all know you're pissed off about it, but since you want to show us that you're not you go and say "sweet i finally got -10 props". that just made it more obvious that you're probably tearing over it right now.
yea kona..you probably right cuz my fork on my bighit only bottoms half of its travel..i dont know..the fork is just effed..so i dont know the feeling of BO..
lol..i think 40s are lovely..i recently did a yeti 303 demo with a 40 and it was sick to the max, times 100..compared to my shitty bighit, its like a supercar to like a cheap toyota..haha
race was in Indonesia, photographer is Indonesian, the guy who posted the pic is Indonesian.
BUT, the rider is Singaporean, and the team he is from is based in Malaysia.
talk about international huh....
Not really. Notice how all 3 are in the same area, not to mention in a space probably less than the size of any State or Province. And how singapore used to actually be a part of Malaysia.
Being part Malaysian this REALLY makes me want to go there for winters (never actually lived there). It seems like that area gets some mad support for DH, they have some really interesting terrain. But instead I'm stuck here in a foot of snow. damnit.
still 3 different countries, hence international.
if you still think singapore is anything close to what malaysia is like.... you are have been very misinformed my friend. they are 3 very very different countries, but its amazing how the race scenes are very closely tied.
i am malaysian, just studying in the uk for uni. give me a shout if you are ever plan to visit malaysia.
Hey dats my Hubby Chun!!!!POD???No way,..great ,..thanks to the photographer for the good captured,.whahaha,..seems u overshot the landing huh!!!!btw,.was a good race after all,.set in indonesia, rider from singapore, and team based in malaysia(i copied adam,lol..).SPLENDID!!!!!.*risa/AGsuspension racing team*
btw,..wat happen was,..there is big rock that u can use as a launcher..and u'll land in another rock (unfortunately),.And coz of the speed u carry from the top u dont want to go too fast as u'll missed the landing and u'll hit a pine tree (so i guess the photographer hide behind it)..so i guess he went too hot, missed the receiver, brakes and tried to avoid the pine tree,.i guess he managed to be in one piece till the finish line,.But gosh, cant believe the impact!!..cheers
Wtf Nice pic His bar is bending both his tyres are gone flat, his foot and chain is on the ground and his fork is bottomed (: Very nice must have been huge dropout to make all this things go bending and bottomed Nice Pic
P.S he must be built like a brick shit house, most people on a bottom out like that, go head banging and just get sucked down, he looks like hes just riding normally to the corner shop XD
There's a few people people, further away in the pic with a look of amazement on their faces... It looks like there's 2 rocks, it looks like the kicker or whatever he hit was pretty far away, and who knows how high up it shot him?? Example.
I ride sled, saw a driveway gap jump one day while I was out riding. This perfect looking driveway jump, nice kick to it and good landing. So I go back and line up, get some decent speed. I go to hit it and turns out there is a cinder block wall under the 'perfect looking jump'. It kicked me up so high that I thought I was gonna break my back comin back down. It over shot me at least 20 feet and I can't even put a number on how high it was.. I landed it fine, creating a massive crater in the semi hard pack trail, it looked pretty neat when I went back to check out what happened..
Either way, this is an amazing picture and one helluva POD.
hell yeah Norcal! My ride crew is pretty diverse and the only thing funnier than watching each other fall off is giving them the "cultural" reasons why! HaHa. I'll knock back a few eggrolls after a session on my BLKMRKT MOB! Thanx for keepin it lite!
Ha yes MR i find POD's and put them on, You have been hard at work. Yet another classic. Break the norm and have somehting about the picture. This one rocks
Weird - guess everyone saw the road gap on Psychosis, and other huge jumps, and how to hell did he bottom on such a smal lump (compared to others)? POD for capture
maybe he didnt bottom... he blew his tire... blew his fork... and broke his chain. yeah, thats GOT to be it. haha just messin.. that looks like a nasty bottom.
Rock to flat anyone..... reminds me back in the old days running ridged and thinking flat was where it's at....kick'n it old school, well sorta. Good shot, for sure :-)
I think it's cool that its a POD from Indonesia though. Its interesting to see the scene in a country that doesn't first pop into your mind when you think of DH/freeride.
you guys don't know what your talking about!!! it's supposed to do that it just looks like it's bad becaus of the time of the pic whenever you drop off somthing your tires do that and he just likes his fork nice and soft low comp. he always puts his foot down when he hits it's way of making sure he's back on solid ground! take it from me i know what im talking about. i'm kinda a pro!
i have a photo of some one totally bottoming out its weird cos I would expect the tyres to go down but on ine they didnt! have a look its set as "MY POD" atm
listen upsir-dirty-biker an 8 inch travel/203mm travel linear suspension fork from fox like any other half decent product is desighned so it can be ridden by average joe and all the travel can be used at different speed and forces which can be counter acted and controlled better with the high and low speed compresion which is probably why you people are not as quick as me because you dont realise and understand the set up and the adjustability in the technilogy you have paid your hard earned on because you have seen the heavily sponsored pro's ridding these products set up and tweeked for every single course and discipline they ride read and understand your boring manuals that are prob in the bin and go quicker or smoother
