cabela81 I hope that since 2008 you learned that riding without helmet is damn stupid. I hope you just got to it yourself without a lesson given by physical characteristics of surfaces such as trees or concrete.
he never said it was a good idea, just that there are POD's without helmets... "i think people just say that because people wear helmets i would too over those kinds of jumps and downhill stuff" -& I agree with him, for the stunt & speed side you're asking for trouble if you don't ride with one, but a footjam on flat... not so much. You can obviously fall & get hurt, but then wear one when you cross the road & walk down stairs too.
yes I am always overreacting on that topic, and I do it on purpose. "Aim justifies the means" Adolf Hitler's kind of way. Just getting frustrated with all the well thought "wear a helmet" campaigns hitting the wall of colourful magazines, adds and films with PROs tricking big time or flying big airs without helmets.
I'm finishing writing up some blog article about it. It would be great for me to hear some opinion from you about it before I post it, as you are an action sports photographer, and you are much more inside "the community" than I will ever be. So if you don't mind I would send it over
haha, dude I just wrote you an essay back haha "Aim justifies the means" but if the means destroy the aim there isn't much point at all is there? There is no need to attack or be defensive, humans can talk and reason without fighting, well some at least
There's always an urge to be defensive, even if you are bigger, older and smarter than most potential attackers! You know, just to straighten up a bit the tower of Pisa before it trumbles, while you still like it tipped (shit couldn't find a better example I am getting all nutted here late at work)
why? u dont know him! or is it because your a stuck up 15 year old? nice riding pics you have, oh wait u dont have any! so please grow up, the world would be a better place without you!
