 spoiledgoods,

Well buddy i must say you just made yourself sound like a douche IMO, And there are quite a few people running LHD rides now and I deff have seen a few LHD hardtails. and just for your info jeans on black fridays are like 5$?

dbgc,
simple fix to a low income budget go to the dollar store buy a needle, sewing thread, string, and a few buttons and learn how to sew all you need is the basics, simple solution to your need of getting pants to stay out of the sprockets

Well finally IMO the whole crotch seam thing almost no use, all in all id rather go spend 10$ on some jeans from wally world spend 5$ on some supplies and 10 minutes of my time to make my own set of these, and Im not some chump whos got nothing in the bank but why spend 100$ when i can make my very own set for 15$ max

I think the point is you wont get the quality of product from your 5$ jeans, compared to 100$ jeans.
I dont think i sound like a douche, i addressed the fact that i havent ever seen a LHD bike.
Also, people have used elastic bands for years, i am sure, this is just a easier way of doing it. Its always there, you dont have to remember to bring it.
As i said, its a luxury item. Why do people spend extra money to get lighter parts on their bikes? Because its nice.

 holy chirp-fest.
I think the jeans are a cool idea. Im not biased (I ride alot of bmx, race dh, and a little bit of time on my hardtail.)
I personally wear tighter jeans when i ride with jeans. They work, dont get in the way, and I dont mind the style. But for some people, they dont like the look of tight jeans, or they want some room for pads and breathability. This would be cool for them. fit your pads and keep you pants away from the chain a little. Only thing I would suggest is maybe two elastics on the right leg (one abit higher than the other, and a bit looser.) This would get rid of that bunched up part that might get caught, and make the changing width more gradual so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.
Yea, they may cost more than some jeans, but you're supporting a bike company, you get something with a cool feature if you dig it, a pair of jeans not many people have, and probably some higher quality.
If you want to save money, go buy cheaper jeans, thats fine too. but you don't need to chirp someone who's innovating a new idea that some people may be down for.

that's stupid. it's def not gonna keep grease off ur jeans unless u roll em up... and it looks silly... the idea was on track but the final product is almost as lame as that shirt

Man, Its not designed to keep your riding jeans clean... Its designed to keep them out of your sprocket. It looks a HECK of a lot better than tucking you tube jeans into your ankle high tube socks i can tell you that much. And much more functional than carrying around one of those retention bands.

btw, tht shit can still get caught in a sprocket... u need 2 roll em up, wear shorts, girl pants, or skinnies but that simple little "tension band" or w/e wont keep ur pant leg out of the sprocket

dbcg, Compared to everyone elses retention system this rules all. Sure, an elastic band will help, but the convenice of it being right there is perfect. I dont get my jeans caught often, but when i do it sucks, so to hook this up on the inside of your jeans, and have a clean way of making it tigher i think is perfect. And personally i think they are really nice jeans man, i dont know why you would call them ugly.

What's stupid is commenting on a feature you've never tried. I think you should actually evaluate the product before bashing it. It's kind of like saying a DW Link bike sucks before ever riding one. Experience > Opinion.

no, wuts stupid is paying for a whole new pair of jeans jus cuz they have a kool crotch and a band in a pantleg... i know MTB is an expensive sport but a lot of us urban/street riders come from BMX backgrounds and a lot of BMXers on the east coast here arent made of money... like me. so id rather use the pants i got or hit up goodwill and use a rubber band... Plus, wut about people who ride LHD bikes? Y not have this system on both sides if its so amazing? it cant cost that much more to make. This whole thing is silly. And the shirt is just korny... so basically, if u got the money and u like the company's design or w/e then i hope u like em. but if ur broke like me and u just want practicality and functionality then id say go w/ the bobo rubberband or roll em up. Y do bike companies' clothes have to be so expensive anyway??? Id rather risk getting trampled at Walmart on black friday for a few pairs of cheap durable jeans then order from these companies... just my opinion tho...

 dbgc,
Thats exactly the point. For people like you that dont want to try the design out, or feel like its that useless, then go on over to WalMart and buy a 20$ pair of jeans. Those of us that dont mind breaking the bank on a pair of quality jeans, that have a innovative design, and some neat features dont mind spending the cash, becuase its going back into the sport.

Yes, the rubber band works. Yes, you can get a pair of pants and a shirt at walmart for half the price of these jeans. But, the money your spending is going into the economy, not the sport you are indulging in.

Really, its our own decision. Thats why they make luxury cars, so people can spend the extra cash, and get some cool features.

As per LHD, thats just dumb. How many people run LHD compared to RHD, and how many of those people ride bmx. BMX has been known for its "ghetto" appearence for lack of better works. Tight jeans, small shirts, and sweater vests can be picked up at WalMart for cheap man.
(note, i dont think i have EVER seen a LHD hardtail.)

Looks like people don't appreciate your/republiks work...
Thats really sad, they seem like a pair of quality jeans.
