last time i checked it was in the low 18lbs(8.1kg) range. and thats just with no back brake and i took off the freewheel. she has a new chain (i gain a couple grams to go gold) and a sick wooden fender now i just need a brooks sadle and it will be staight gangster, since it is the Chicago edition Smile

Yours is lighter than mine, then. But I have both brakes. Mine weighs 19.74 lbs. Nearly stock apart from the new bars and bar tape (stock bars weigh 740g!). The freewheel side is still on, since I have yet to take it off. But with a new saddle I'll lose some more, and then I'll just change things as they wear and break.

Please, please don't buy a Brooks saddle. They are ugly, heavy, expensive crap. Specialized Body Geometry saddles are just as comfy.

hehe yea the brooks is a maybe for sure, i like my seat right now and i'm like you if i start breaking stuff i'll replace it. i'm just kinda going for a gangster theme on my bike so i've been looking for a nice leather saddle, brooks is just the first thought.

i'll take her down to the shop tommarow and see what the real weight is for fun since sundays are so slow and i wanna drop the front brake and go back to the stock bull horn bars.

Damn that's light. I'm taking off the freewheel on tuesday, and probably the rear brake. New seat coming soon too. But I expect that;ll only take me down to about high 18 lbs.

word, drop bars look sick on the langsters. i've ran a few different handle bars on my langster and like the flat bars the best on it but thats just me.

I don't really like the upright riding position of flats. It helps to have ergo fit drop bars for me, both for comfort, and aerodynamics (we get a lot of wind). BMX grips don't offer much as to dampening vibrations. So I like cork based bar tape.

What's the weight on your Langster? I think I may go a little weight weenie on mine when each part needs replacing.

Langsters are legit. Some have shite specs though. What's the specs on this 'un?

 Specialized Langster Al frame
Specialized FACT Carbon forks
Alex rims race 32 rim
Specialized front hub
Specialized flip-flop rear hub
Ultralite dual pivot brakes
Specialized secondary levers
Sugino Zen Messenger crank
Specialized carbon post
Specialized road stem (31.Cool
Specialized track bars (soon to be changed to proper drop bars, they're horrible)
Flak Jacket tyres

That's about it. Pretty simple and cheap. But once things start breaking they'll be changed for higher end parts.

Alu frame for a fixie... Paintjob makes up for it though!

It's more of a track racing bike, hence the super ugly bars and minimalistic grips. But I use it to commute, and train.

thoes just look like the "test" pedals from specail ed.... that sucks that you can't get any other editions besides this and the regular one. sick paint job tho

ps lose the back brake and keep the front since it is a commuter, fixie it, and run a choped flat bars with BMX grips.

 flat pedals...

The pedals have been changed. To more flat pedals. You won't catch me running devil pedals, ever. I'm keeping the brakes until I get used to the leg braking, for a while and it's already on the fixed gear cog. I only run drop bars, and I am currently using Pro LT bars with red Specialized bar wrap. This is not, and will not be a hipster bike. It's a commuter, track and training bike.
