My bike set up for riding trails. I took the pegs off and replaced the front wheel with a sealed Sky-Way Tough II wheel on a 2.1" Odyssey Dirt Path. If I ever get the money, I'll be replacing the tire with a 2.125" tan wall knobby Aitken.

Tell me what you guys think.

I love it. It just reminds me of the Aerospokes that I see on fixed gears around here. I love the wheel/sprocket match too. Looking good.

plastic isn't strong Wink

It is when it weighs about as much as(or slightly more than) my 48h hazard lite with 2 pegs Wink

lol. that wheel will never brake. i hear if they become untrue you just put it in the freezer

Nah, that's just a myth. I rode it a bit last summer and it has a slight wobble in it. That thing has been sitting in the garage all winter. If sub -30 temperatures for weeks on end wont true it, I don't think a freezer would either. Wink

haha, is that tuff wheel off a mirraco retromag?. my brother has that bike, its a bit heavy but damn fast, niceSmile

Technically yes, the Retro Mag comes with Skyway wheels. But I bought a set of skyways back when Dave Mirra was still with Haro.

what do you use to keep it so clean?, my brothers tried a couple plastic cleaners & like houshold cleaners but they dont do much. yours looks brand new.

It's not. The flash makes it look cleaner than it really is. But a good way to keep it clean is to not use any liquids to clean it. Once you have liquid, the dirt sticks to the plastic better. I might try using bleach, but I don't know how that will react with the plastic...

"that bike" as in the retromag, & nice as in nice ovoid.

How can you got the first wheel?
How much is that?
  • 1 0
I ordered the front and rear wheel a few years ago online. I think it was around $150 Canadian after shipping and taxes. So that's about ¥825.35 Chinese by today's exchange rate. (I hope that's the right symbol for Chinese currency...)

How are the tuffwheels anyways? just for show? Razz
  • 1 0
Put it this way, that wheel alone weighs slightly more than my 48h 14mm front hazard light with 2 pegs. The strength to weight ratio is pretty lame. They're strong, but not as strong as a lighter spoked wheel.

So yeah, it's just for show. I throw that wheel on now and then when I want to get rad in the half pipe Wink

Hahahaha Big Grin im gonna have to admit, i love the Mags soo much, i mean if they were lighter and stronger i would have no problem riding them

You need a 36 tooth sprocket to be trails!
  • 0 0
A 36 would look awesome, but I 36/10 might be a bit of a hard ratio for me. Although I'm seriously considering throwing a 30t on there to see how I like it.

Why in gods f*cking name are you running a tuffwheel?
  • 3 0
 Cause it's RAD!
  • 1 2
 You're trying too hard dude.
  • 3 0
I'm trying too hard at what? BMX is supposed to be fun, try not to take it so seriously.

 Old School= Win!!!

 the front wheel is awful
  • 0 0
Nah, I think it's awesome. It's not on there anymore though. I just put it on when I'm not doing any serious riding. It's all good.
