ah... someone was paying attention.... yes they are. in the bmx world right now, there is a huge push into plastic componentry with super high durability and densities: almost as long lasting and metal parts (bar-ends, pedals and sometimes even bottom brackets). i am demoing a pair of hamilton signature pedals from animal. they have cromo spindle but with plastic bodies to shave weight. only 26 bucks, so i wanted to give ema try..... designer colours to boot.
they dont have deep ass pins like other pedals (with five tens, everything sticks). this is the first season taht im gonna run a lot of plastic shit on the bike. shaves so much weight. hopefully they'll stand up to all the abuse in whistler. we'll see....
not really. unless its for like $2000 for frame alone... im really looking for a shcoker. i dont need the money and if i cant find the right trade, ill ride it this season. it rides amazing anyway... ive just always wanted a shocker.
