A single speed ful sus is no 'fresh idea'. Single speed full suspension bikes need to have the main suspension pivot aroung the bottom bracket, this means there is no chain growth through out the rear wheel travel. The also run adjustable/horizontal dropouts to tension the chain as it stretches through use.
This bike has none of the above. The 100mm fork is also upsetting Orange's hard work of designing the bikes geometery around forks of around 140mm travel. The front tensioner also appears to be redundent as it is not tensioning the chain.
Due to the above reasons i pronounce this bicycle, FAIL
Firstly hes using a tensioner on the back that will act the same as a mech, bb pivots are also really un- efficient pedallers. and as for "psetting Orange's hard work" have a gander at there old 4x bikes which where patriots using 100mm forks. and dont be a prick all your life, this bike is mint.
i can throw in: another 2 pairs of wheels, two more sets of tyers 2 more handle bars 1 spare set of pedals and some more wheels hubs .. soo plenty of spares what can u throw in for me?
i know i rode a 24seven custom that was the best spec that you could think of, anyways, i can throw in the boots, and 1 bottle of gearbox oil, 1 bottle of putoline 2t oil, 2 big bottles of engine oil, errrrr and i only use race oils no cheap shitty oils anything else?
is your bike still up for sale becuase i would probs be up for swopping ur bike for mine and some more cash ktm85 bigwheel which has been tuned n had loads of things done to it as in raced it in british nationals school boy
pm me back if interested
would u sell the bike...and i have a kaski motor bike kicking a round the farm lol is fast i know that but havent used it for a bit coz i am not in to motor bikes but i will throw it in
to all the bitchy comments up top, i quite like this, its a fresh idea, havent really seen anything like this before, and it looks good for general bombing about
hi m8 , would you swap for a honda cr 85 , and you give me some cash so i can set gears up on the bike , my mx bike has been raced so is tuned upgraded bars and that , write back asap , cheers .
i only realised afteri posted the comment as one of my mates dad has a 223 and they look remarkably similar. lol at the coment its as light as a feather, is this feather the same size as a bag of shit get a proper bike with proper gears and 2 brakes if you can afford it pah idk what im talking about ive only been racing motorbikes since i was 11 whilst youve probably nicked this
and becaues you have been racing motobikes you think you no about push bike yeah good one lol and its on got 1 break beace i use it for dirt jumps u dumb shit much better than all your shitty bikes
i think it's a pretty sick bike, just because you ride motorbikes doesn't mean you automatically know everything about push bikes, if you've ever ridden one of these frames you'd know how light they are and i'd feel pretty comfortable using one of these for DJ, AM, 4X, XC, FR, practically anything because they're so versatile, awesome bike tbh
Well theres riding these bikes and racing these bikes, i race dh so dont try to argue also if you really want an argument come talk your shit to my face, and all my shitty bikes, ummm well if you havent realised my commi is worth 1200 my dh thts on order oh wait its a 224 evo world cup and ooooooo look at tht i have a trek fuel ex9 to do training on. nice try in offending me, you have a kona -.-
just because you race DH doesn't mean you know everything bud, as i said, the patriot is a nice do it all short travel bike, not ideal for SS but would make a decent budget slopestyle bike
that i agree with, they're just really strong frames so they're good for short travel freeride/slopestyle on a budget, although the pivot isn't in the ideal place for SS
theyre more expensive than a good ss, and the only way a full sus works ss is if the pivot bearing is around the bottom bracket so the length from the centre of the front chainring to the centre of the rear chainring doesnt change, this means the chain wont go slack or snap over and rear wheel movement.
