Thanks dude. I have been riding this bike quite a bit lately. The T-Bird is pretty haggard, but that is why I like it (beater).
  • 1 0
Oh really? It may be haggard but it still works and with that lowered 4X its beastly
  • 1 0
Yup, dialed. It does a good job if getting beat up. Needs some new bearings at the moment though.

The BB? Yea when I get enough money I'm gonna get a 4X and get rid of my Velvet
  • 1 0
BB, headset, and rear hub bearings. Pretty much all the bearings LOL. So hard on that bike. Velvets are poo, you will love the 4X.
  • 1 0
Holy f*ck, that's why you said bearings lol Yep only reason I have it is because I got it brand new for $100. I would NEVER pay retail on that thing..its smooth..smooth as a noodle
  • 1 0
Yeah, I waited a bit to replace them and got caught in the rain a few times. I know too many people that have hated their Velvets.

Edit: Incase you care, this is what the Pinscher looks like at the moment.

Ah yes the rain loves to ruin bike parts. Yea its not too bad I guess, but it does feel a little too light and sketch at times. I'd pick up a 4X in a heartbeat if I didn't have to build a new front wheel to match HA. Damn that looks sweet man, that the Float off the Vajesty?
  • 1 0
That is another Float 32 that I picked up used for the Dobs. Same fork though.
  • 1 0
You got Floats comin' out your ass or something? LOL
  • 1 0
Yup. About to convert my Talas 36 into a Float as well (swap internals). Floats have been good to me.
  • 1 0
Wow, is it hard to swap the internals?
  • 1 0
Not overly. It is also fairly cheap as I just found out.
  • 1 0
Hmm well that's awesome! Converting a Talas into a Float, that's genius right there ha
  • 1 0
LOL, not really. More out of necessity. Talas' suck internally, and mine is giving me problems.
  • 1 0
Yea I have heard that they blow slightly. What about them sucks so bad?

EDIT: Damn I didn't hit reply lol

The Talas system was not meant to be run at it's lowest setting all the time which apparently puts extra stress on the damper. Also, the rubber seal for the Talas system is reactive to oil, so it expands and leaks out your oil if upside down long enough. The oil pressure will push out your bushing and the f*cker won't hold air (among other bullshit).

Wow..Those are some very minuscule problems HA. I had heard about the stress on the damper now that I think about it but those others, just a little bit on the serious side. So do you know when you plan on getting the internals swapped?
  • 1 0
It was all stupid shit that compounded into one mess of a fork. I am getting my buddy to order the necessary shit soon. I hope to have it done within the next month. I would assume that the internals will take a bit.
  • 1 0
Cool! Hope it all goes well. What travel are you gonna have it set on?
  • 1 0
 100ish.
  • 1 0
Schweet, gonna be cool when its done tup
  • 1 0
