this shot has got way more attention then i thought it would! it happened about a year ago and i will try to post the scar. all is pretty well and riding has been good-just wish work did not get involved with riding time!
yeah i wear pads all the time riding. freeriding i always wear gear, check out some pix. that was a freak accident on the street. now i got a pair of 661 veggie wraps for cruising and easy riding, then some full armor for the dirt.

i really just took a small spill on a boardwalk when i was riding. totally just a freak accident. my knee was bent when it hit the pavement and the skin tore.
i do wear knee pads when riding, check out my pix. this is from almost 2 years ago. i was riding some street and took a small spill. it is real. i keep meaning to post a pix of the scar. it is pretty rad!
it is scary that it did not hurt more! i think most of the nerves in my knee where gone from growing up riding bmx and trashing my knees. when i looked down and saw what it looked like, i was thinking "O-FU*K!". then i wanted to drink a lot of water. i lost a lot of blood and that made me very thirsty. now i am healed and keep on riding. i always wear more gear now!
'quote from zrider79 then i wanted to drink a lot of water'
im suprise it didnt just leak outta your leg, if u ever have a fire and the ceiling falls through run upstairs stand over the hole and drink a lot of water= recession busting water sprinkler
my leg was bent and when it skided across the pavement the skin tore! i thought that it was just going to be a skinned knee. the small scrape under the gash is all the i expected.
there were around 60 stitches. they had to do 3 layers. it took about a month to heal. the stiches at the bottom of the wound dissolved and the top had to be removed. i had to be put under for the stiched and cleaning. it was in mexico and i was a bit worried, but they did a good job.
