ive wanted one of them for ages
  • 1 0
yer they are pretty sweet but i just dont use it
  • 1 0
what s the lowest you would go ?
  • 1 0
meh, im ordering a holeshot frame this week so i cant afford both Frown
  • 2 0
 good choice mate
  • 1 0
 yar Smile
  • 1 0
Would you sell whole bike? or you just getting rid of the frame?
  • 1 0
just frame mate for the whole bike it would be alot more
  • 1 0
ahh oaky, could you see it being any good at small freeride trails to?
  • 1 0
errrm well its not really designed for that but ive used it for downhill before so small freeride shouldnt be a problem
  • 1 0
ill have to see how much i can get for my sx frame then
  • 1 0
swap for my high spec cove?
  • 1 0
 no thanks mate
  • 1 0
 ok cool
  • 1 0
would u sell the fullbike m8
  • 1 0
nope because half the parts are broken now or on other bikes also if i was to sell the one in this pic it would be a heel of alot more then what im asking for just the frame
  • 1 0
how much do you wont for it?
  • 2 0
 750 frame+shock only
  • 2 0
 both
  • 1 0
frame swap with my nemeis if you fancied a change
  • 1 0
no thanks mate just want cash for it
  • 1 0
fair enough, why you getting rid of something that looks so perfect
  • 1 0
just didnt ride it as much as i would like to but if i cant sell it im turning it into a mini DH bike/play bike
  • 1 0
cool, why just the frame sale then, is always better value to buy complete
  • 1 0
you get more money for bikes if you sell them in parts well that and half the parts in the pic are broken, sold, or on my 4x hardtail
  • 1 0
infact the only bits that arnt sold, broken or on other bikes are the forks, bars, cranks, chainguide, tyres, seat clamp, casset, chain and headset
  • 1 0
sucks, you up for a fork and brake swap anytime soon?
  • 1 0
nope selling the forks to a mate
  • 1 0
random question, do you have any random 4x type parts lying around?
  • 1 0
my shed is just full of parts i have like a whole spare 4x bike worth of parts plus more what you after because some parts that same guy is buying
  • 1 0
just a longer fork, slightly lighter wheels, better chain guide etc better mech that sorta thing
  • 1 0
mech my spare is snapped in half Frown chain guide going to that same guy aswell as the wheels
  • 2 0
 i really really hate him
  • 2 0
haha i do slightly aswell because he picks up like every style of riding so easily and has like no fear what so ever
  • 2 0
sounds generally horrible. well le me know if there anything you got i might want dude!!
  • 1 0
haha yer man will do though i am trying not to change parts as much theres like 4 things left i want to change then im gonna leave my bike alone because i found my perfect frame, bars, stem etc.... but want to get a better wheelset, some fox 831 forks (this is gonna be the last change probably due to the cost of them), new saddle and a different shifter then hopefully my bike should be done
  • 1 0
what do you have now thats better than this!!
  • 1 0
oh i see, gees old commencal. i'll let you have that then. very jealous of ur 4x arsenal
  • 1 0
haha i bought gee's just for the parts the frame felt like shit to me, then the yeti is amazing as a frame and im reluctant to sell it i just need the cash and dont use it as much as my last(use to be flow before i battered the frame to shite), the norco sucked pedalled like shit and was to small for me
  • 1 0
so whaty frame you using now, as the yeti and commencal, both my dream frames dont suit you. wish i could choose to be that fussy!
  • 1 0
last rufus best frame i have ever had hands down and a lot cheaper then both of those also you dont need a full sus 4x bike but they are very fun Wink
  • 1 0
the last a hardtail? i always loves lasts dh bikes, so clean. my 4x dually has a whopping 5 iches out back, which is good for me as i dh more on it that jump really, nowhere here is rocky so its gonna rip
  • 1 0
yer it is a hardtail and yer the dh bikes look bluddy sweet aswell my mate hatch is sponsered by last and has both the rufus hardtail and the herb dh his build are sweet i wish i was sponsered by last Frown
  • 1 0
ride faster then, lol. herbs on my wishlist of bikes
  • 2 0
haha yer im not really bothered about sponsership right now if it happens it happens if it dont it dont Smile i just love racing for fun i need to start training anyway cause i got to the point where im just lacking that last little bit of power and balls lol. yer the herb is suppose to be wicked to ride shame i stopped riding dh
  • 1 0
have'nt raced anything other than xc yet, not sure if i'd be any good, am faster than all my mates but too poor to race!
  • 1 0
try and do like a fun race or something
  • 1 0
yeah keep meaning to do a 661 mini dh, but keep missing them! will do some whilst i'm at uni!
  • 1 0
only if i had the money Frown
  • 1 0
haha i feel the same lol
  • 1 0
swap for trek session, and cove sanchez frame
  • 1 0
 cash only sorry
  • 1 0
would you swap for my commencal supreme dh vip frame?
  • 1 0
 no thanks mate cash only
  • 1 0
 i got £685 m8 how much u lukin 4 it
  • 1 0
650 for frame and shock only
  • 1 0
hi m8 im really interested Big Grin would u sell the whole bike?
  • 1 0
nope because 90% of the parts in the pic have been broken or sold on also i found a buyer and i am taking it off sale now sorry
  • 1 0
oh ok now worry..still love it. Big Grin
  • 1 0
yer it was a sweet ride just wasnt practical
  • 1 0
 wot u got now?
  • 1 0
 last bikes rufus Smile
  • 1 0
definitely one of my fav bikes of all time
  • 1 0
thanks was fun whilst it lasted just not practical
  • 1 1
yea if your not a 4x racer theres just no point
  • 1 0
i am a 4x racer lol its just isnt as good as a hardtail out the gate and thats where it matters
  • 1 1
 fair dos lol
  • 1 0
is the rear tyre 2.0? and the bike is so niceeeBig Grin
  • 1 0
it was a 1.9 with a 2.1 on front and thanks dude its long gone though Blank Stare
  • 1 1
That is soooo nice! have you still got your session?
  • 0 0
yer but im still waiting for the guy to get the cash
  • 0 0
 and thanks for the comment
  • 0 0
omg it must ride sooooooooo nice
  • 2 0
it feels pretty much like a hardtail the only thing is in the gates you get a bit of sag when you pull back and you tend to be able to put down a bit more power because of the rear wheel being in contact more with the ground but then again it depends on how much you pump up the rear shock but one things for sure it gives you a bugger load more confidence
  • 0 0
 mmmm Drool

is that a dura-ace derailer your running ?
  • 0 0
thinking on getting one for my giant but cant find any reviews of them on mtb's

how do you like yours ?

pros/cons.
  • 0 0
pros: best changing deraliuer i have ever had and light weight
cons: i snapped mine and shimano dont make any mass produced spares for it that i needed so i would have to wait a few months to get them so now i just run a sram x9 of my dh bike
  • 0 0
hmmm cant decide. xt shadow or dura-ace.
  • 1 0
quite frankly i would go with sram soo much less hassel and shimano always hit against the frame and anoys the hell out of me but if your set on getting shimano you should look at the saint
  • 0 0
i only have 30£ to spend and if i get sram that would need a new shifter too
  • 0 0
ahhh kk well i would say the shadow xt then because its a bit stronger then the dura ace
  • 0 0
 okay cheers tup
  • 0 0
Another con would be that since it isn't designed for MTB usage, the b-tension spring isn't strong enough to stop the derailleur from smashing on the bottom of your chainstay on hard landings. If you wanted a nice light short cage I'd stick with X.9 or X.0.
  • 0 0
a bit late though to add the information lol but yer the sram kit is really good but shimano shifts better
  • 1 1
Actually X.0 shifts way better than any Shimano drivetrain I've tried.
  • 1 0
not really because im running an X.O On my yeti right now and the new saint on my flow and the saint shifts loads better and yes both are set up spot on
  • 1 0
well not loads better but its definately recognisably better
  • 1 1
Really, because I'm a professional mechanic and my Saint derailleur shifts for crap compared to my X.0
  • 1 0
well thats odd because i find it the complete opposite but my saint is acctually a custom one i got off gee athertons 4x bike i bought so that might make it difference but not sure also what shifters do you run
  • 0 1
XT M770. Maybe Gee's spring was modified to be a little bit softer, because with the super hard spring on mine it feels very clunky.
  • 1 0
maybe not sure it does look a little different to my mates that have the 09 saint aswell and in the case of the shifter i think it is down to my deraliure because my shifter is the xtr i don think theres too much difference performance wise between the two
  • 0 1
Could be the shifter, yeah. When I had an XT M771 GS shadow derailleur on there it still shifted like poo.
  • 1 0
ahh it could also be that i have the ss instead of the gs which may make it a bit better shifting
  • 1 2
Luke you do realise that most of your new bike is not ex-atherton. The guy only bought the frame and forks off the athertons and then he got alot of the other parts form elsewhere.
  • 1 0
yer i know but im not bothered because i payed like nothing for it but the rear deraliure is a custom one yes maybe not gee's but it is custom
  • 0 0
and i know this because i was looking at dans as well as the ones on the shimano website and its a fair bit different
  • 2 0
 Fair enough.
  • 0 0
I am running the SS as well. The GS is for a two-ring setup.
  • 0 0
i thought you said you were running a GS now you have lost me :S
  • 0 0
My XT M770 derailleur was a GS. My Saint M810 derailleur is an SS cage.
  • 0 0
oooh now i got you its just that you put 'XT M771 GS shadow derailleur' but now i get what you mean. surely the GS shifter mixed with the SS derailleur is your problem then or as i said it could just be that my saint is different
  • 0 0
There's no such thing as a GS shifter...
  • 0 0
ooh i didnt realise you said xt m771 GS deraileur
  • 1 0
how much does it weigh ?
  • 1 0
the frame with shock weighs in at a claimed weight of 6.1lbs and the complete bike weight was roughly 27.8lbs as in the photo but at one point had it down to roughly 26.5lbs
  • 1 0
 would u swap ??
  • 1 0
 what you got?
  • 1 0
 wud u sel the wheels
  • 1 0
nope the rear is in pieces and the front is my spare wheel for racing
  • 1 1
swap u 150cc trickstar n azonic wid drop off triples
  • 1 0
