 "sheds" ?
ok thats a good idea
One more question : The main problem of this bike, according to its owners, is that the rider often kicks the pedals, whatever the position, because cranckset is low on this bike, do you confirm?

sorry for my bad english

it works good. yeah i have some problems with the low bottom bracket. like when i hit a berm, and a pedal goes down, it clips the dirt. i adjusted it for the highest bottom bracket height possible. your english is very good

 he must mean "shreds", monsieur.

Any numbers on the geo of the bike? How low is the BB height on its highest position? How slack and steep can it go? You can also adjust the travel, what setting is on yours now?

This frame is definitely on my shortlist, as it is available and cheap in my country.Maybe a Roco RC air would go in if I decide to go for an air shock, but I can find one like yours, with a DHX Air.

Oh yeah shreds" of course, thanks
lol "monsieur" Smile

the hight of the bb is 350 mm
differents positions are: 180 or 200 mmthen i can't answer you

13.7 inches? That's low. Even lower than a Sunday (13.9)! Its going to be one sick cornering machine, I wonder if Nico Vouilloz liked those settings...

Yeah that's the only pb of this bike
trust me, even if it is becoming a bit old, that bike is a f1
I had an offer to 1000€ ( i don't know how much it is for you) but for some reasons i can't realise my dream =(

I can get one for around $400-500.

 O_o WOW

So you mean that even if its quite old it still fetches up to a thousand euros in France? It could also mean that the other guys using those bikes refuse to sell them because they think it's so good!

It depends of the other parts (fork, brakes, ...) but at the time the bike was sold complete with good ones (live marzocchi 888 rc, one of the bets, without any problems, even if its a bit old) so the bike you are interested in is at least as good a the original version (i mean its owner may have upgraded it). I DONT THINK this bike fetches up the thousand euros in my country,IM SURE it still cost a few hundreds more, but i spoke to the guy and he told me he needs money so he had to sell it quickly.

For the second reason you imagined, its a good one, because I often see riders with black frx (the model under the black dh) riding with it, which shows that even in a "smaller" version this frame still rocks compared to others

I'm getting a frame though and I'll transplant it to my hardtail. I'm still running a single crown though. I still have this nagging feeling that the Glory or a Faith still costs way much than I can afford by December so the Black DH is getting more and more attractive. Plus its a single pivot so its simple as hell.

I like simple bikes. From none to one. The only thing I don't like about the '04 Black is the color scheme. The 05-06 (like the one here) looks WAY better.

i just painted the whole frame black. it's all black.

 pics man! Smile

I mean its a huge advantage, it is soooooo easy to ride, even more on technic tracks, but it is easy to kick the cranks

Does it works fine with the dhxr?
  • 1 0
yeah, it sheds. but the rebound and everything is different because it doesnt have a spring
  • 1 0
and there is and always WILL be just one of you
  • 1 0
 Was that Michael Larsen's?
  • 1 0
yeah it was. he traded the frame for an sx enduro frame
  • 1 0
You mean his blue frame? That's just a normal Enduro, not an SX.
  • 1 0
 i guess.
  • 1 0
Yeah it is. There was a time when four of us had the same frame design from different years. Shadi Hattar and myself had '07 S-Works Enduros, Will Ritchey had an '06 Enduro Pro, and Larsen was on the '05 Enduro.
