 sounds good to me. i didn't think it would be at all clean but i guess it works for you guys. did you have a 30.0 seattube? which size seatpost did you guys shim up?? i took a look into macneil and they make pretty much everything but 30.0 lol. thanks for the helpn guys, i appreciate it

 yea looked into ibeam as well but couldn't find a decent seat i liked for anything less than 140 bucks, lol. i think i'm going to take the advice and go with the shim. but thats only if i get some extra cash. thanks for the comments guys Smile

 yea that was an option but i'd prefer to keep it as clean as possible. I'd rather use what i have now then have to shim a pivotal.

 i dont know what size, but the scott voltage bikes have a prety big pivotal seatpost that comes stock with the bikeo

 just do the shim man, i have an 09 suburban with a bmx sized post with a shim you can bearly notice and i love my bike to look clean.

 normally i would respond with something like "yea it looked a lot like your ugly green bike" but the superlight is too f*ckin sexy to make fun of. bring that thing back in so i can drool some more! i'm thinking of taking one of the giant xtcones home with me sometime soon as a trailbike. gotta get some fitness going and not a chance in hell i'm wearing spandex so i'd need a trail machine, lol.

 i had the same problem when i built my cowan, and i just bought a shim. you cant even tell its there and a lot cheaper than a whole new seatpost. ive had mine for 5 months and its great, saved a lot of money and a lot of hassle. hope that helps :-)
