it's a voulentary recall. meaning the bike meets all standards associated with it. It is rental fleets and racers that have problems due to the constant beating. the amount of consumers that do have issues is rather minute in the big picture, infact less than many other big bike companies.
this bike doesnt look all that great, hey who cares, i bet it rides like a dream, deadly components, so fuck looks as long as it rides nice and he likes his bike let him be
For anyone interested in this frame, please make sure it has gone through the Norco recall for heatube issues.
Either that, or you may run into big time problems.
Why? Because the head tube is faulty. Its a big problem for Norco as its blowing head tubes off there bikes. It can pose a big issue for you because you could be eating pavement after thinking your frame had been recalled.
You should post a photo of the new frame, as your photo claims its the new frame, but its not.
Im talking out my ass? We had to return a norco for this specific reason man. Trust me, Whats to say a Kona will blow off? Crack or not, your headtube is damaged.
Hahaha ok man. its not ignorance, im simply stating norco has OPENLY said they had a issue with this year range of bikes, and they are WILLING to trade frames with you. Its not a question of how frustrating it is....its the fact the bike is faulty. If its fine, why recall it?
If they were not worried about it, they wouldnt have posted the news article man.
the only thing i dont like is that it is a 2 step system i like the solo air more but it really dosnt matter untill you have to do aserviceing on it but it is rock shocks so its easy to do lol
Are you related to bikermandan, you both seem to come from the same gene pool. But hey i can't complain cause you two douche bags give me something to laugh at while im at work
shock looks fine but fork kinda looks like shit plus im not the biggest fan of norco's up untill now they've been like 100 pound bikes n a few of my buddys have them n they sound like shit on the trail... screw norco...
if it deserves to be ridiculed, than why does the new team dh have an air shock? the sinlge crowns look a bit sketch though, but im sure they feel nice
kids and their comments..lol..my team Dh is 38.5 lbs... Norco is great! Its canadian, and all canadian bike companies are the best. Support Canadian products guys
too bad they make them overseas now, that means they are not Canadaian product anymore, and therefore I will not be suporting them. Cove, Knolly, RockyMtn, 243 is what you should be supporting
and WHERE a frame is made is irrelevant, a weld made in china is just as strong as one made in europe or america... anyone who says otherwise is ignorant...
ignorant or racist
because a weld is as only good as the years of practice under a welders belt
and those asians weld shipd together!, do they sink!, NO!.
Yes i agree that a weld made in Taiwan or CHina is of the same quality as the weld made in USA or Canada (considering that these welders have the same skill experience under their belt). However, companies that are currently still produsing here in North America are facing significant costs in labour, materials, etc. SO they deserve more of our support in my opinion. They are also trying to come up with more innovative ideas and make their products stand out from the rest so that they can capture as much market share as they can. Obviously it is difficult for them to succeed since they have to compete with brands such as Specialized, Giant, etc. which have far less production costs to worry about. Therefore, I am not ignorant at all or racist for that matter, I consider everything and choose my options wisely as a consumer.
Norco is still a Canadian OWNED and OPERATED company... just cause they outsource the frame construction doesnt mean it's a WalMart bike... the design and research is still done by BC boys/girls, and then SPEC-FOR-SPEC remade in Taiwan...
