Woo Seraph U got URself a finest bike piece that ever came out of hands of a polish designer. I think NS frames kick ass, but their components are just bloody average and they charge for them way too much. In fact NS hubs are nearly the same price as HOPEs, and that's hopeless... apart from the average stuff their handlebars are actualy a crap! heavy and bend/break easily.
  • 1 2
Well I don't have it anymore, so all this is moot.
  • 1 1
For reference, this bike is built with parts I had just sitting around. The only part I bought specifically for it is the fork.
  • 1 0
nice, but couldn't you easily save over 2 lbs with lighter tires?
  • 1 0
These are just parts I had lying around in my garage.
  • 2 0
Damn, what else do you have?
  • 0 0
Even if it is a 'budget'/spare parts build, It would look really nice with a change of saddle.
  • 0 2
That saddle doesn't even belong to me.
  • 0 0
I don't know whether that's a good thing or not.
  • 0 2
It has a Funn Skinny RL saddle on it now, so it's all good.
  • 0 0
 Indeed it is. Yayyy.

are the wheels heavier then my azonic outlaws? cause im wondering f i should switch em
  • 0 2
I don't know, how much do your Outlaws weigh?
  • 0 0
 about 1200 g for each
  • 0 0
 well from azonic website its

Front Wheel weight: 1 lb 2.5 oz
Powder coated Rear Wheel Weight - 135mm: 1329g,
  • 0 2
So the Outlaws are about 5.3 lbs for the set. Mine are around that weight, if not a little bit lighter. I'd be happy to sell the bike without the wheels though.
  • 0 0
 for how much less?
  • 1 0
Outlaws are about 2400g for the set.
  • 1 0
nice bike if i was a bit younger

 Age is a number bro!

How did you like the Sub frame?
  • 1 2
Well I didn't really ride it for very long, but I can say that the geometry wasn't as comfortable as my Riots. I did appreciate the standard headtube, though. The paint is also very weak and not very thick, tightening the disc brake mounting bolts decimated the paint job in that area.
  • 1 0
I am considering one as a replacement to my Holeshot.
  • 1 2
With the same parts as the Holeshot? The only problem I had with the Sub using gears was that there are no cable guides, so I had to use plastic adhesive guides and zip-ties all over the place. Also the lack of ISCG mounts makes setting up the chainguide less than ideal. My next hardtail frame is going to be a 2010 Santa Cruz Jackal, which I think combines the best of both worlds: street/dj geometry with adjustable horizontal dropouts, and ISCG mounts with cable guides.
  • 1 0
No gears. Apart from that, pretty much the same.
  • 1 2
Well then yeah, it'd be a sweet street/dirt ride. Actually your parts setup would end up looking pretty similar to the one you see in this photo.
  • 1 0
Our builds are wayyyy too similar. lol
  • 1 2
Well...this bike is no more, so you're on your own.
  • 1 0
Well ye, but still. Im glad I have mine has cable guides, only thing that ruins your old build.
  • 1 0
any idea on the weight of the funn serial killa stem?
  • 1 1
Heavy. It was from a time when weight wasn't an issue like it is today.
  • 1 0
 how is mine lighter?????
  • 1 1
See my reply to reilly's comment.
  • 0 0
pretty sick parts just to have lying around haha, looks sweet anyways dude
  • 1 1
Yeah well I've been at this "bike mechanic" thing for a long time, the parts kinda just collect. At one point I was able to build up a complete Blur 4X for my friend to race on, complete with Chris King wheels, a Marzocchi 4X WC, XTR cranks, and X.0 drivetrain.
  • 1 0
yea thats very respectable man, wish i had a guy like u at my lbs, i have to like learn to keep my bike dialed thru trial and error sumtimes(truing wheels), my bike is also slowly getting there lol
  • 1 0
You have the FR6000??? Damn.. no wonder the weight is killin ya!
  • 1 1
They're just wheels that I had laying around, I was trying to not spend any money on the bike.
  • 1 0
i got my sub at 23
  • 1 3
I'm not trying to get this thing super light. My Blur 4X is 27.49 lbs so it's my light bike.
  • 1 3
For point of reference, I could easily get my Suburban down to 21-22 lbs (with suspension) if I wanted to, but I've already got a light bike.
  • 1 3
21 lbs wouldn't hold up though for what the bike is meant for.
  • 1 3
Sure it would. I'm a light rider and I always land smooth.
  • 1 3
than you're not actually jumping it. i could ride small smooth dirt jumps on a xc bike. if you're riding what that bike is meant for, there is no way 21 pounds without rigid would hold up. I barely cased a jump with those exact forks and now my steertube is bent
  • 1 2
Well, what can I say? I like light bikes, and I know how to ride them. If I can't ride this at 21 lbs, then how can BMXers ride sub-20 lb bikes and not break them constantly?
  • 2 2
because bmx's are smaller and more compact, aka less material needed in frame, rims, tires, spokes, tubes, cables, fork, chain, and bmx hubs are spaced smaller so they could also weigh less. very poor argument buddy
  • 3 2
Talk about a poor argument. All you said was that BMX bikes are smaller and therefore stronger. That makes absolutely no sense. You're talking to a seasoned mechanic, so you better back up your theories with more than just speculation.
  • 0 0
hahah i was gonna buy a sub before i saw the Jab!
  • 0 1
They are both pretty sick rides.
  • 0 0
this bike's on craigslist... how much for whole thing?
  • 0 1
Considering the nice parts she has on her (Masterpiece post, XT cranks w/ceramic bb, King headset, ti rotor bolts, etc) I'd not let her go for less than $1000.
  • 0 0
Wow, this is a steal dude.
  • 0 2
Yeah I know, I just don't really need the bike anymore.
  • 0 0
For a thousand dollars, this spec is ridiculously epic.
  • 1 0
 i want
  • 1 1
Too late, I sold the frame for $200.
  • 1 0
lol i hate u thats such a good price
  • 1 2
I tried to sell it for a long time, finally had to take a loss and sell it for $200 just to get rid of it.
  • 1 0
yah man i feel ya its only good on the buyers side of a reduced price bike, its just this is the first time i have seen the top in yellow and it looks realy good
  • 1 2
It's not a TOP, it's an NS Suburban.
  • 1 0
lol my bad as was looking at the top page on transisition.com when i wrote that lol
  • 2 3
Is this a single pivot also? is it just a glorified single pivot?
  • 3 3
 You're an idiot.
  • 2 4
Thats alright! at least i know what a single pivot is! =]
  • 3 3
 You clearly do not.
  • 1 0
do u think he has realised what he has said?
  • 1 2
This is from an old argument. He was just being a smartass.
  • 1 0
hahahahha. this bike is rad though
  • 1 2
This was a very fun bike. I somewhat regret selling it but there will always be others.
  • 1 0
how much did you sell for?
  • 1 2
$200 for the frame to a friend of mine. It only cost me $340 or so originally. Story of my life :/
  • 1 1
 youshouldlower the seat
  • 1 1
No, I liked it at that height.
