AMAZING, just AMAZING picture! i think i am allowed to use the word EPIC for this picture, its absolutely perfect, the contrast, the rider, the background, POD!
Not too sure about this one. I think the rider is way too central in the frame, and the colours don't look right to me. Also, what's with the 'inside pedal down' cornering? That's just sketchy riding.
Honestly, do you people even know what you are blabbing on about? All I see every other goddamn comment is, "Nice HDR" or, "Nice fisheye". If you have no idea what you're talking about stop making yourself look like a fool.
Jeez, sure sounds like you know how this photo was done. So instead of criticizing people why don't you make everyone here a better person by teaching them how this was done? Or can you since it's not your photo and there are hundreds if not thousands of way this could be done?
Better yet, it's art and as such not only is open to interpretation, positive and negative, but it's also never "wrong", just different, regardless of whether the people who are commenting know how it was processed.
Oh, and by the way, regardless of processing, I love this photo!
I have nothing against this photo. Photoshop can work wonders with pictures, but the people that give out terms that they have no idea about is what pisses me off.
first off, this is definitely a HDR photograph. Try typing HDR into flickr search engine and you'll have proof of that. secondly HDR has nothing to do with photoshop at all, it's about combining 3 images with different exposures and tone mapping the result. And it's very difficult to achieve a good result without having a great photo to work from in the first place.
it's definitely processed but it still takes skill to get a shot like that in the first place. It's well composed, well focused and well timed - he's got it just right. and i recognised it straight away as a HDR photograph which is a whole different kettle of fish from photoshop.
i think it would look way better if it wasnt overprocessed. Kinda like cheddar cheese is better than cheese slices...it's way too alien for me. Looks more like riding on the moon. All in the eyes of the editor i guess.
Nice shot. Really moody. Mountain weather can be really moody, and so can a downhill trail if you are not on your game. Although...the lift lines in the corner are a bit distracting.
I love this shot. Thanks.
