that would never work, back to the drwing board, it would start to compresss and the top linkage would get ripped of the top tube, probably ripping the down tube off the headtube. not much weld contact there is there? keep at it

 the shock would compress the smallest bit then flick straight forward and get stuck.. wouldnt work.
