I find it strange when ppl say that a fisheye is overused. I'd say a 70-200mm is used way more, but you never hear anyone say that it's overused 
haha ... must say that I did use mine a LOT when I 1st got it, but trying not to use it for a lil while.

i got what you are sayin', eric,,, but for everyone is much easier to notice when a fisheye has been used... also, i know why you are defending the fisheye ~ because you're the biggest maniac for this lens hehehe,,, which is very good,,, and i am right after you! buehehe

yeah, it just gets noticed coz of the cool distortion. I think it gets a bad rep coz ppl think you can forget about composition & just bend everything & make it look good on every shot, but we both know that's far from the truth. This pic has a great riding, compo, timing & contrast & that's what makes it good... the fact that you used a fisheye doesn't affect that at all.

sweet photo, the only problem is that i dont like how his head is turned trying to look to see if it was a "roost" rather than looking where hes is going like he would during a run.

i dont think he fell off or is skidding, i just think he has just done this "roost" for the photo rather than during a practice or race run. Not that there is anything wrong with that

yo Ben, just a hint, if you look under the shot it says whether it's been POD or not. So the neg props are prob from being unobservant & inaccurate.

I like your style that you have... Many pictures u see of events like this are very straight forward. When I looked at your album of pictures I saw alot more style in the imagery. It seemed like you try and keep it more artsy I dont know a better term for it, then most other photographers. I think that seperates u from most the rest of the photographers at these events and that is great!

yah man, U have the same thing. I feel its harder to shoot it more artsy at a event like a World Cup then when u are doing a personal photoshoot. Lugging everything around and wanting to shoot different areas f the course make it hard to find ur shot all the time so I give Lunatyk major props on these shots!

yeah man, races are def way more difficult to shoot. Luckily most of the ppl go shoot the big gaps & leave the nice tech sections alone, so I rather shoot that at races than try to fight 1000 fans & spectators.

Love every part of this picture except that he is looking out of the corner.....to me it shows that it was a set up shot, and that he is probably more skidding than drifting. Still an amazing photo in every other aspect.
