This little ripper shows up just about every day I'm there and gets his stair huck on. Too bad my focus was a bit off, but you can still see he's got no pedals, that's a push bike. He just kept lapping the stairs and was gathering quite the crowd. Look out Crankworx 2020!
Update as of April 2012: It looks like my prediction of Crankworx 2020 was a bit conservative. Check out what Jackson is up to now: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Jackson-Goldstone-Woodward-Spring-camp-video-2012.html.
Suicidedownhiller: its been proven that riding a coaster bike or 'push bike' speeds up the learing process of how to balance on a bicycle. its alot better than shoving a kid on a bike with stabalisers, once theyve got the balance down pedaling comes easy. these parents are teaching their kid how to ride the right way and doing an awesome job of it.
i love his little 180's at the end of the video. its amazing when you think about it... if you scale it up its like an 18 year old doing about 6-8 ft to flat... that kid is truely hardcore...
it's impossible to watch that video and not be smiling the whole time. the kid rips, and is having the time of his life doing it! you people dissing his parents have no idea what you are talkin' about. a kid that age, couldn't get that good at something without heavy involvement from the parents. huge props to the little guy AND his parents!
These are the PODs that make me happy seeing little guys really shredding hard. And not to mention the fact hes on a push bike huge props to you jackson keep up the good work!!!
i am pretty sure it's cause you said This kids parents suck. No where in site(sight?) , Also, his balls will be hurting in a couple years from that. (it will be a bit till his testies drop loL)
actually as has been previously discussed, push bikes teach him how to balance so that he doesn't rely on training wheels when he gets pedals, so his parents know what they are doing, and gdoing it right, plus look what they made, he is probably better than you and he is like 5.
and i don't give a damn what you say, but just as you do i am going to excersise my right to say what i like, and you keep doing the same. but be perpared to hear about it, just as i am ready to hear about it. and not all of us have the liberty of going riding when ever we want you know, as we are over 15, and have jobs that we have to be at.
Alright, sorry everybody.
I was in no way ripping on the kid, Jackson is awesome. I misinterpreted the parents involvement in their kids passion, and I'm sorry for that.
Jackson is the new Cam McCaul. He already has his 360s dialed, and I still can't get mine half the time, and he's 10 years younger than me. I'm JEALOUS!
He could have a full suspention bike if there was a super soft shock iin between his seat and the lower tubing. It would also have to be a pivit where the crank usuly is!!
Thanks to everyone for all the props and the great comments. Jackson is my son, and yes he does have a bike with pedals. (He races BMX quite well, and started in the bike park last week.) The run bike is just for fun, he takes it everywhere. Sorry about the crappy editing on the video, I didn't expect so many people to watch
if some sponsors got hold of this kid now and trained him with the best equiptment , he will be a fantastic rider, somone should start a collection on here to put towards his first proper bike
That is so cool that this kid has a love for the sport already and if he sticks with it he WILL be pro some day. And as soon as he gets on pedals he will get so much better.
props to jackson!!!
lol those guys are all standing there with there big monsterous full supsentions, shin guards, full faces and everything and this kids on a pedalless bike, skateboard helment, shorts, t shirt and sandals. gotta love it hahaha
We saw this kid at burnaby mountain tearing up the wooden pump track and th big sets, look out pinkbike therees a future in biking and this kid will be leading it!
We'll be reading in the mag's in the next month or two that this little fella has been confirmed as bearclaw's love child from crankworxs 2007!!!!!! hahaha
This is an awsome POD. I tihnk its great to have a younge one get a pod. Now hes got to become a member of this site so he can see all this support hes getting
Eh, that might be a bit awkward, seeing as how she's his sister (who is also, i must add, a ripper herself--just started riding the bike park this year and she's 8 years old).
wow, this kid is just sick. u just can't stop smiling when u see this or when u watch the vid. i wish i was that good when i was 4. keep it up Jackson!
You totally need one of these feel good PODs once in a while. Way to go kid.
