How long is your cable? Thinking about getting one soon because my has too much friction inside it for some reason causing to lock up. also did you cut it?

mainly left chainstay from pedal grinds and lege stuff... it looks pretty bad and 1 small and one pretty deep on in the right chainstay and i need to find my camera
