 Better to face plant that then a giant sequoia or the odd shaped boulder, and a wet landing is usually a soft landing, so this could have been a lot worse.

The photo itself is great; the timing was perfect, props to the photographer. If you look at the amount of mud on his bike, it’s easy to see why he wiped out. Imagine how hard it must have been to race on loose foresty soil when it’s all muddy!
