candyapple green isnt a color they dont put green candy on apples candyapple red refers to the red candy they pour over it retard!

Jamis was building the Dakar frame in THIS config long before Transition used the name and logo of a Moorpark, CA skate shop. That said, I own an 11 year old Jamis Dakar and have ridden the Parker, they're not even close to Transition in any way other than it's a bike frame that looks similar. This purple bike, for it's intended use, why is the seat so high, the seat tube so tall?

It could be the largest of the three sizes. It looks similar to the way the large Blur 4X looks compared to the medium. For taller riders, it's a godsend.

what cracking issue, I have had my parker for 2 seasons now, and rode it hard, no problems to date, every manufacturer has it's issues.

Jamis's qc is horrible. Known fact. The parker has a higher then norm failure rate.

thats the second new frame i have seen that is surprisingly similar to the double the other is the commencal absolut they aren't exact or nothing just really close. still a good looking build all around though

I Honestly think this is TOO close to a bottlerocket. . . And not as nice... Not a fan of the headtube junctions. . . It's still intriguing though, like a fat girl with a pretty face. Hmm. Dunno. (Best colour I've seen for a while though!)

just an ffyi if you didnt know, the parker is an older frame than the bottle rocket, so in reality the bottle rocket would be a rip off of the jamis...

you guys have bottle rocket on the brian. It is a Transition Double clone, same travel, same suspension design but less burly looking then the Double. It probably weighs more then the Double.

take-off, please Jamis made this way before transition even existed, and I have a parker, and it can out handle the bottle rocket any day of the week, my buddy has a bottle rocket, and can vouche for that statement.

actually bottle rocket is lighter, I'll give it that. and not all parker chain stys break, mine hasn't, so your statement is not true. well, my full parker is heavier than my buddies bottle rocket.

Then the Parker frame must weigh about 1000 lbs. A friend of mine had a Bottle Rocket built up with an all-mountain build kit and it weighed 35 lbs. 35 lbs for a 5" travel bike? No thanks.

nope, my bike weighs 36.5 pounds, and thats because I have a coil shock, and cromoly dmr bars. the 35 lbs is a good respectable weight for an am/freeride bike.

I don't consider 130mm of travel FR. My S-Works Enduro weighed 32 lbs with 150mm of travel in the rear and 160mm in the front. My SX Trail weighed 35 lbs with 170mm of travel front and rear.

Yeah bikerdhill does have his facts correct, the Parker frame is based off of the Dakar series of frame that surfaced around 1997 or so if I recall.
