those look almost exactly like the old saints except in white

They look like FSA Afterburners to me.
  • 2 0
they do like saints on the first sight but then you recognise jsut fatter afterburners...
  • 1 1
i thought saint at first too
  • 1 0
I thought they were white Saints from far away... even the shape is very similar.
  • 1 1
the shape is what made me think that
  • 2 0
 who cares?
  • 1 2
Well if they're FSA, then they'll explode or fall apart or catch on fire.
  • 1 3
I'm sure they're one of the two simply in an MRP paint job.
  • 2 2
 Definitely not Saints.
  • 3 1
dude your retarded they are obviously not saints or fsa there mrp they just coppied the idea they look like saints mrp is not stupid enough to just "paint a fsa or saint crank"
  • 2 3
It's not a matter of stupidity, it's money. It's cheaper to take an already existing crank model and put your name on it than it is to make a completely new one.
  • 3 1
well no shit but if that was legal then every company would do that but theres these things called patents and copy rights makes it so only you can use your design and if anyone else takes it you got a law suit on your hands i dont think mrp is looking for a law suit they did not just paint another set of cranks....
  • 2 0
There's also this thing called "licensing." How else do you think Norco uses FSR on their bikes? How do Santa Cruz and Intense use VPP?
  • 3 0
They are these crankarms with an integrated spindle.

Whoever said they looked like Saints is blind
  • 1 0
 Good eye, Iggy.
  • 1 1
well that link is not saints and saints do have integraited spindles
  • 1 0
I guess hendu's one of the blind ones then.
  • 1 0
 Apparently...

hendu plenty of bike companies pay for technologies from other companies and put their name on it. some people might remember how huffy had a road racing team in the late 80's and early 90's however they were simply there riders usual bikes in a huffy paintjob.

Or the "Haro dh bike" that was just an Intense Uzzi DH painted blue with Haro stickers on it.
  • 1 0
because if shimano were to make pure snazzy coloured products then people would by their shit .I think the closest to anodising theiv done is the little hints of gold on the saint components.
  • 1 0
but, the saint's are strong, and not exactly that heavy, and thats why most people buy them

not because they are a "pure snazzy coloured product", i'd sacrifice colour for strength any day
  • 1 0
You should check out Shimano Yumeya if you want snazzy.
  • 2 0
Looks exactly like the new Blackspire crank but white! And probably more expensive!
  • 3 1
they look like what saints would look like if shimano was smart and followed trends lol
  • 1 0
I should let this go, but I'll bite...

How is following trends being smart?
  • 1 0
What he meant was so they could sell more. like deity for example.
  • 1 1
because black is cool but everyone likes to have a flashy bike and trends pretty much define what is flashy without being stupid looking. Hense shimano should make white products so they are flashy and attractive cause sure black is functional looking but it doesnt stand out to someone who doesn't know any better.
  • 1 0
but the new saints are black with polished silver designs there stealthy black aith cool specs of silver and gold what more could you want ?
  • 1 0
 white
  • 2 0
There is still a good number of people who like "functional looking" much more than standing out.
  • 2 0
iv got this chain device on ym commencal supreme dh and its insane ! couldnt say a bad word about it !
  • 1 0
yes ive seen the yumeya stuff and yes it is very nice but its an upgrade to the origanal prodauct , and a dam right expensive one too
  • 2 0
 Damn, that setup looks badass
  • 2 1
Yeah but it looks like that glossy white that would get dirty really easily.
  • 1 0
too bad its not i a flat black, cus i have the black g2 and a flat black crank set would be sick, and not look as dirty as the white.
  • 2 0
 Want!
  • 1 1
 snap
  • 2 0
 DO WANT
  • 1 0
the shape is like the old shimano xt
  • 1 0
yes but if they ould ombine the 2 then theid probably sell more also not just ranks im talking about , if they could do coloured things like hubs ect then people would probably buy more .
  • 1 0
Cool, might cruise over to their office and check out a set
  • 1 0
anyone know how much that set-up might cost?
  • 2 0
 sexy
  • 1 1
is that an mrp crank aswell
  • 2 2
It is an FSA Afterburner painted white.
  • 2 1
 white parts annoy me.
  • 1 2
prety standard these days, nothing that special
  • 1 3
