my understanding is that mike is very big and this is like a slopestyle bike for him.. there are a ton of pics of him tricking it like nothing.. and its personal preferance... you wouldnt have to worry about your chain falling of or skipping or anything like that.. plus its super clean

 Yeah man, I love the single speed set up. I never race, but do tons of crank flips, fakies, etc, so it works great.
