Nicely built pumptrack bike DSP1,have ya got the cranks tightened right up so they don't spin freely.I'll bet ya need to find some serious momentum to get some good use out of them pegs.Nevertheless pumptrack bikes like this are a wicked way of honing your skills,in between riding ya pedal bikes.Nice rig m8.I haven't seen that many, but this is the best built one i've seen.Good job. Gringo.
@dsp1 Why are you so insistent on calling this bike a "street MTB"? Do you know what the acronym MTB is for? It stands for Mountain Biking. Street mountain biking? That doesn't make any sense. Do you use this bike for mountain biking? Looks like that would be pretty difficult.
mtb does stand for mountain biking, but bmx stands for bicycle motocross... so if u think about it, neither of them REALLY correlate to street riding...
That's true, but bikes like this are not MTBs. Even the ones with suspension forks and hydraulic brakes. The mountain bike industry has marketed these jump/street/park bikes as something that is new and separate from what 20" bikes have been used for since the 70's. They have created this division to trap kids, and some adults, into an endless cycle of buying heavy, flexy, overpriced crap that is always bending and breaking. Why is it that a taiwan made MTB frame costs the same or more than a handmade bmx frame?
Of course, you can get crappy bmx products, but they are half the cost of the crappy mtb stuff.
Now, I don't have a problem with people riding whatever they want. If you are happy with what you ride, then i am happy for you. But, if you think you are doing something different and new, you're wrong. Thats a fact.
What the F*ck is the point of this bike, every thing that characterizes the point of a mtb has been taken away, but yet its two big a defeats the purpose of having a bmx. such a stupid trend whore build.
ahha! i dont see why you are getting so mad??? its not like your ever gonna ride it and like really! who cares what he rides!!!!! as long as it works for him. i think he did really good job in building this bike =D
im not geting mad im just saying that he should just ride a bmx if he wants smaller wheels no supension and no breaks and pegs.. and just choose one or the other bmx or mtb
