 Its a great fork for taking the sting out of landings, and then doing bmx style stuff everywhere else. It really is a lot less like a rigid than u would imagine, it is especially different when out on the xc trails, and the rocks have some impact, but it is noticeably better than a rigid. I like it a lot for those tight dirt jumps and corners where u have to pump a lot.

 it's not a spring in there, it's elastomer. pretty much like a hunk of rubber (but not rubber).

 When you originally got the fork did you not know that the springs were only there to take out the sting in the hard landings? That's my impression of those, it it's like a rigid but has travel when you need it...

 well, my buddy built me the bike and it was the only dirt jump fork he had left. btw they are elastomer, not springs. It was that or a fox 40... But it was not a problem for me. The fork suites it purpose VERY well, which as said before, is to take the sting out of harsh landings. I really like it for that, its like riding a bmx in terms of pushing out of corners and stuff, only if u screw up there is no consequence.
